Coffee Room Committee

Membership: Chair - Andrew Deuchar, Manager - Lynne Wealthall, Wendy Pearce, Joyce Savage and June Lord.

The Coffee Room has had yet again, another extremely successful year. We have had a fall off in our volunteer helpers due to various reasons and, therefore, have had to appoint another paid member of staff.

Our paid team consists of Lynne: Manager, Bernie, Krys and our new lady Carmel. Lynne and her team work extremely hard with the preparation of the food etc. for our opening time of 10.30am. She has introduced another menu item – jacket potatoes with various fillings and these, along with the Ploughman’s are very good sellers. This is, of course, a team effort and our group of volunteers, although smaller, is very loyal and most of them still bring in their home-made cakes which our customers greatly appreciate. We also have a group of people who bake for us and we are very grateful to them. We have had to purchase a new dish-washer as our old one died of old age and hard work. The new one is much easier to use and there is a lot less bending.
